Club Update Jan 2026

Maintenance is progressing slowly as Spirit’s hull dries out ahead of painting. To accelerate things along, a heater is now under the boat. Hopefully, the painting will be done by mid February.

Beginners. We are planning a beginners course in May, so if you have any friends who you think should be rowers let them know.

Crew Leads There will be a session for the crew leads in April to refresh their knowledge.

Life Jackets – The club is replacing 3 of the light blue life jackets which failed a safety examination. Gordon will be organising a session prior to the AGM to check life jackets owned by club members. I would encourage anyone who uses a personal life jacket to get theirs tested.

• 17th January – Lunch at the Marine Hotel
• 22nd March – AGM at the shed
• 28/29th March – Small Boats regatta at Loch Insh
• 18th April – Crew Leads refresher
• 255h April – Stonehaven Castle row with other local clubs
• 2nd May – Five Harbours from Portsoy
